This film explores the making and breaking of both routine and rhythm. Each of the six characters has their own daily routine paired with its own musical loop, creating a system where the breaking of one routine leads to the breaking of another. As the routines begin to collapse, the music connected to each character changes as well. This was my first attempt at creating original music for one of my animations, and I wanted the sound to function as part of the structure of the film rather than just background audio. Human beings try hard to keep their routines sacred, and this animation plays with how fragile those routines can actually be. Rhythm and music are common themes throughout my body of work, and I hope to continue exploring them in the future.
